What kind of illness is this? 

In TCM, these are inflammations in various parts of the body.  Inflammation serves 2 puproses: either it clears up debris or infection or makes energy when we are in need of energy. Acupuncture and herbs are given to make it better.

 Cholecystitis: pain under the right ribs, pain after a meal, tonsillitis: sore throat.
